How far along? 24w0d or 60%...woah....this is going way too fast!
Total weight gain/loss: +11 pounds
Size: Ear of Corn or Papaya! He is now a foot long and over 1 pound (gained about 4 ounces last week).
Baby Development: His brain is growing quickly now and his taste buds continue to develop (I'm trying vary hard to eat veggies right now, ugh I hate them :). His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" and while his skin is still transparent, that will be changing very soon!
Movement: Yes, I feel him move all the time...nothing external yet so Joe is still *patiently* waiting to feel a kick! My doctor said we should feel this sometime very soon, so just be patient JMP :)
Food cravings: McDonald's breakfast is back with a vengeance, it's is all I can think about lately.
Food aversions: None.
What I miss: Jimmy John's, alcohol, my jeans (haven't bought maternity ones since I doubt I'll wear them much this summer)
How I'm feeling: Bloated...the rings have officially come off until further notice :( It's very tight in the morning and does loosen up over the day...I just don't want to risk the chance of the finger swells to not go away one day and have to get my beautiful ring cut off...not worth it. So I now look like an unwed mother LOL ;) I may buy a cheapie ring but honestly I don't care what people think...let them judge, those that matter know the truth. It's sad that it's 2011 and people still judge (com'n people, single women can be moms too!!) but what can ya do?
Milestones/Best moment this week: Cleaning out the nursery! All that is left to move is the bed, desk and rug....everything else is ALL baby! We are painting the trim/doors this weekend and plan to paint the nursery in mid-July (the next weekend we are home). We should have our crib by then, so we'll clear out the last of the furniture, paint and finally get it looking like a nursery :)
We've also reached the week of viability...if for some reason pumpkin seed were to be born now (I pray every day he's not yet), he has a much better chance of survival...his chances increase greatly each week from here on out...but we're close to the 50% mark now which is good news, another big milestone :)
