2 month measurements...

Wowzers, Mason has done some growing! I was a little concerned with his rapid weight gain but our doctor isn't...he's been exclusively breastfeed since he was a week old and we only introduced the bottle regularly a few days ago...they say exclusively breastfed babies can't be overfed, so I've been doing everything right up to this point...I just hope it slows down a bit now and that switching to bottles doesn't enable this trend to continue!

Birth:
Weight: 5 lb 10 oz (5% percentile)
Height: 19 inches (25% percentile)
Head Circumference: 12.99 inches (9% percentile)

2 Months:
Weight: 12 lb 15.5 oz (74% percentile)
Height: 23 inches (49% percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.51 inches (34% percentile)

Mason is doing very well and is a healthy little boy. He also had his shots today...poor little guy. He's been more fussy than normal but has also been napping/sleeping more than normal. He should be back to the normal crazy Mason in a day or two...

I also got a clean bill of health. My blood pressure was 121/77 so we are going to cut my meds in half and re-check again in 2 weeks. If it continues to stay normal, then I will go off the meds completely and re-check in another two weeks...and hopefully be done with them for good! My doctor also told me I can most certainly have more children, which was a HUGE sigh of relief. Even though we are NOT ready for another baby anytime soon, I was worried it would be too risky after all the problems I had with pre-e and hemorrhaging...and that we wouldn't have the choice to have another. However, if we decide to have more, I will be monitored WAY more closely for pre-e. She told me that I really had everything stacked against me with Mason's birth and the risk for bleeding was very high...so hopefully things will be different the next time around...I was so relieved to know that it CAN be different the next time around :)
