28w0d

How far along? 28w0d or 70% or THIRD trimester!
Total weight gain/loss: +15 pounds
Size: Chinese Cabbage or Eggplant.  He is 14.8 inches long and about 2.25 pounds.
Baby Development: He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With increasingly developed eyesight, he may be able to see the light that filters in through my belly. His brain is also developing billions of neurons and is adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.
Movement: YES! He's fairly quiet throughout the day, just little movements and kicks spartically. However, come 7-9pm every night, he's SO active and moving all the time.
Food cravings: Nothing new lately...it's been a pretty boring pregnancy for both cravings and aversions. No pickles and ice cream for this lady (although I still love both, just prefer them separately ;). I did see a commercial the other day for Cold Stone and they advertised these ice cream sandwiches (chocolate chip cookies with cake batter ice cream in the middle covered in sprinkles)...they looked DIVINE! So we went one night for a light dinner and they only sold them in packs of 4...I was SO disappointed and refused to spend $10 on ice cream...but then I almost had my first pregnancy temper tantrum...all of a sudden, I NEEDED them like no other...Joe must have seen the look in my face change, he told me to get them, LOL. So I did end up getting them and it was worth every.single.penny.  Best part is I still have 3 in the freezer for another day :)
Food aversions: None.
What I miss: Jimmy John's, alcohol, my jeans (haven't bought maternity ones since I doubt I'll wear them much this summer)
How I'm feeling: I'm getting more tired...my feet and back hurt more. I also have to flip more during the night, otherwise my hips and knees start to bother me. I had my dr appointment today, I'm measuring right on track at 29 and his heartbeat was 140.
Milestones/Best moment this week: Hitting the THIRD trimester...seriously, can you believe it?!?!?  We also picked out our rocker (now waiting for a good BRU sale to come along), painted the nursery and bought furniture...more to come of the progress in another post later this weekend!
