Happy one week Mason! I can't believe you've been here a week already...we are already so in love with every 5 pounds of you :) I love the how you fall asleep with your mouth open or raise your eyebrows as you are dreaming. I know you aren't really smiling yet but you get this smirk on your face when you fall asleep nursing and I try to wake you up...it's like you are saying "mom you aren't going to make me eat anymore and there's nothing you can do about it." You are starting to open your eyes more and more...and I love when you stare up at me when I'm holding you, I know you are trying to make out my face. And I love how you hold your hands up on your checks...something you probably did in the womb.
You've been testing our patience by keeping us up at night...but we are slowly adjusting to the 2-3 hour feeding/diaper changes you require. Last night was the best one so far...you let mom get more than a few hours of sleep in total, which was awesome! Please let that continue.
I can't wait to see what the next weeks and months bring...it's only been a week but I can't imagine our lives without you!

Love all the pictures of week 1! He's beautiful, and so are you. :) Enjoy these first few weeks, I swear it doesn't feel like it now, but they will fly, and you will be wistfull for them later.
